myGuilford FAQ: The Guilford College Alumni Association Online Community
What is myGuilford?
myGuilford is our new and enhanced online alumni community that provides a
unique and individualized experience for its users. Its features include class notes, message boards, regional chapters portals, affinity groups and much more. In order to take advantage of these features, you will need to activate your account and log in. Learn how to do so below.
Why should I register and log in?
By registering (activating your account) and logging into myGuilford, the Guilford College Alumni community, you gain access to new online features available exclusively to alumni. To utilize these features, we must first verify your identity. Doing so protects you and other myGuilford users from anonymous communication and posts. Additionally, registered users can update your contact information quickly and easily; fill-in event registrations and other forms automatically (i.e. class notes); and connect securely with alumni based on your region and affinity. While you can login as a temporary guest to complete event registrations, you cannot search our directories or communicate within the community, for example.
How do I activate my account?
On the grey menu bar, you will find “myGuilford.” Drag your mouse over myGuilford and “First-Time Login” will appear. When promoted, enter your first and last name. If you are a returning user, click Login under the myGuilford dropdown menu, then your username and password.
What's my G# and where do I get it?
Your G# (G-number) is a unique Guilford identifier that is assigned to your record in our secure database. Your G# can be found on your most recent alumni mailing from Guilford College. If you cannot locate your G#, please contact the Office of Alumni Relations at alumni@guilford.edu or (336) 316.2321.
Why do I need to create a username and password?
By creating a unique email/username and password, you can be assured that no one else will be using our site with your name.
The username and password are created once you have registered for your account. Our site gives you the option of having your log in information saved, as will many Internet browsers.
I forgot my username or password. How can I get it?
If you have forgotten your password, look for "Reset My Password" on the myGuilford home or login. Your password is secure and myGuilford nor the Office of Alumni Relations are able to retrieve it on your behalf. Please keep your password in a safe place for future reference.
When I try to reset my username and/or password, I'm told my email address can't be found. Why?
This message indicates that our system has a different email address associated with your account. Click here to update your information.
How do I update my account information?
After you have logged in, under the myGuilford tab on the menu bar, click Update My Info.
Yes. When you register, you will have the option of making visible as much or as little information about yourself as you like. If you wish to have yourself removed from the directory completely, please contact the Office of Alumni Relations at alumni@guilford.edu, or call 336.316.2321.

Facebook, LinkedIn and myGuilford are all online communities. Unlike Facebook and LinkedIn, however, myGuilford is a private community that is exclusive to alumni of Guilford College. If you are an avid Facebook user, myGuilford uses a Facebook Connect module to connect your Facebook identity and credentials seamlessly with a single login.
