    Food Pantry Covered by N&R

The Guilford Food Pantry, which opened in September, was included in a Greensboro News & Record story about pantries at local colleges that provide help to students.

Chelsey Wilson ’13, one of the organizers of the pantry at Guilford, told the newspaper that volunteers try to provide the College’s adult students in need with a week’s worth of food.

“These are our fellow classmates that we’re sitting beside,” Chelsey, a hunger fellow in the College’s Bonner Center for Community Service and Learning, said. “Why not help them out?”

Although the Nov. 25 News & Record story is not available online, a September story about the pantry that ran in The Guilfordian is.
